Scott Bakal
In 2005, Scott Bakal has won awards from 3X3 Illustration, the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles and Aristata Publishing. 

Scott Bakal lives in New York. Since graduating from School of Visual Arts 12 years ago, he has worked with an exciting list of clients. Notable clients have been from Penthouse, Time Magazine, Delta, Insight Magazine, New York Law Journal, Wiley & Sons, eBay, Boating Magazine and Individual Investor Magazine.

Scott's work is in many private collections as far reaching as Sweden, Spain, Germany and England among many in the States.

Aimee Camilien
Aimee Camilien considers herself an Artist/Illustrator. She originates from Boston and has lived in Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Florida. She now lives in NY with her adorable 6-year old daughter. She has illustrated for Essence Magazine, and for The Wall Street Journal. Her fashion illustrations can also be seen on t-shirts in Target and Wal-Mart.

Danawi
Danawi is an illustrator who lived in Ghana, Beirut, Nice, Montreal and Toronto. He received a BFA degree in Design Art from Concordia University, an MFA degree in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and an Animation degree from Sheridan College. He currently lives in Savannah, Georgia with his wife and two children. Danawi is an illustration professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has been the Chairman of the illustration dept. from 1998 to 2002 and currently is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). In 2002, he was selected for inclusion in the Who's Who Among America's Teachers, a publicaton that honors the nation's most respected educators. Danawi was asked by American Illustration to write his opinion and commentary on the inside flap of the 21st edition. He was recently invited by Teatrio Association in Venice, Italy to be a member of the jury in the upcoming international children's book competition.
Susan Gal
Susan is a San Francisco Bay Area illustrator. After completing her BFA at Art Center College of Design she worked as a calendar and poster artist in Los Angeles. Susan was then selected to work in animation by the Walt Disney Company at their Florida studios. Love and a desire to return to her native California brought Susan to the Bay Area where she now works and resides with her husband, daughter, and assorted studio pets.

Her whimsical and animated paintings have appeared in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Baltimore Sun, Girl's Life, Bridal Guide and Better Homes and Garden magazines, and additional media such as Schurman Fine Papers.

Todd Graveline
Todd Graveline is an illustrator and designer who lives in Milwaukee, Wis. Born and raised on the East Coast, he was brought to the Midwest against his will at age nine and unfortunately never escaped. College, work, marriage and children have left him a prisoner in his own home. Fortunately, he has a creative outlet, a good CD collection and a devoted dog named Lulu.

Todd has been illustrating all of his teenage and adult life. His work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, TV Guide, Prevention, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, Psychology Today, Working Mother, Utne Reader and the Los Angeles Times. Todd created, illustrated and self-produced a children’s CD-ROM mathematics game called Professor Lumpy that was positively reviewed in Time’s On Magazine (called "irresistible") and PC Magazine ("animation and sound effects are first-rate"). He is currently developing a new game, Clem "Whirlygig" McCoy’s Mountain Man Multiplication.

Sara Love
Sara is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer residing in Indianapolis where she grew up, went to school and graduated from Herron School of Art. Her strong sense of design lends itself to the illustration work which is created primarily in scratchboard and Photoshop. Illustrations have been created for advertising and publishing including American Express, Macmillan Publishing, The Boston Globe, The Harvard Common Press and Time-Life Books. Sara is an active member of the Graphic Artists Guild and currently holds the office of National Communications Chair.
Hector Martinez
Martinez is an illustrator and painter who graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1986. Since then he has worked in advertising, merchandising, and film where he has earned countless accolades, including three Emmys and a Peabody award. His work has appeared in American Illustration and the Society of Illustrators. Hector lives in Southern California where he finds inspiration in his wife, son, and their Pembroke Corgies, Max and Pablo.
Tracy Mitchell
Tracy moved to San Francisco two years ago and does not miss snowy Boston, but secretly misses the Sox. Her cat Mad-Maddy keeps her company while painting or drawing and does not allow any bike rides until the work is finished. Inspirations include everything from cycling to Russian Constructivism to Folk Art. She has worked with clients such as Penguin, Entertainment Weekly, Ms. Magazine, Hyperion and the Atlantic Monthly.
Susan Moore
Susan Moore studied illustration in Chicago before opening her studio in Indianapolis. She renders her realistic style in an variety of medium. Several of the pieces featured in this web site were done for American Girl.
Einat Peled
Einat is an Artist/Designer who currently resides near Tel Aviv. She is a graduate of the Graphic Design dept. at the Bazalel Academy of Arts and Design, in Jerusalem, Israel. ('92)

Einat has lived and worked in NYC for a few years. Her editorial illustration work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers including The New Yorker, The New York Times, Food and Wine, Yale Medicine and many others in the US and Israel. Among her recent projects are illustrations for the Hudson River Park Festival in NYC (Summer '02), and covers for the University of California Application Bulletins (2004-2005).

Einat also keeps sketchbooks full of drawings and doodles, creating surface designs, and has her own line of decorative pillows.
Luisa Vera
Luisa was born in an arid shoe-making town located in the south of Spain. By 1985, she´d had enough, and moved to New York. By 2002, she returned to Spain and Barcelona is where she plans to stay for a while.

Luisa completed her BFA at the Fine Arts University of Valencia, Spain, and continued her studies in New York´s School of Visual Arts. She´s been working as a profesional illustrator since 1990. Her characters have nosed their way into the pages of The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Dallas Morning News, USA Weekend, The International Herald Tribune, and El País in Spain, and have dressed up for all kinds of occasions, such as book covers, posters, catalogues, children's books, and exhibitions.

During her free time, Luisa is working on an illustrated travel journal of her wanderings around the world with her partner and their three year old son (and, of course, the Powerbook). And when she has more free time, she travels.
Adrienne Yan
Adrienne Yan loves a funny doodle and is said to be one herself. She graduated from Parson's School of Design in New York City. Sanrio, other cute Japanese cartoon things, and pictures of her cat Pause will forever clutter her workspace. Amidst all the "mess", she still finds room to do drawings for magazines such as BUST, Ms., YM and MC2.
